Portfolio
Here are my most recent works. They are all part of my Senior Overview project for a Dark Fantasy RPG soundtrack. I take the ideas for bosses, areas, character’s, etc.… that I have written in a game design document, and create scores for them. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy setting, so much of the music contains a sense of tragedy and melancholy, but there is hope amidst despair.
This piece serves as the main theme. It’s designed to evoke a sense of grandeur mixed with melancholy. The world the player is about to explore is filled with amazing places and immense sorrow. This song is meant to highlight the mixture between these opposing feelings.
This piece accompanies the first area the player will explore. They rise from the ground amidst a burnt forest. The ash-filled wastes create the first sense of tragedy within the player, along with mystery as to the state of the game’s world. Danger exists here also, and the player will have to fight an uphill battle to reach safety.
This is the theme for the first boss. After players escape the burnt forest, they are confronted by a towering statue of a knight. This statue then comes to life, with a magma-filled heart powering its core. The song has a transition in the middle, mirroring the transition of the boss to its second phase.
This song serves as the the theme for the capital city of the game. This was once a grand castle-city, and the hub of all society in the region. After a great war, this city was left ruined and abandoned. The only thing left is the faint echo of glory long gone.
This theme is for a secret boss. The player will hear stories about an ancient people that created a technological monstrosity that wiped out their entire civilization. If the player chooses, they can discover its location and confront it. This song highlights the immense danger and sinister nature of this beast-machine hybrid.
This is the boss theme for one of the most important characters in the game. The King of Glendora, who’s actions led to the state of the game the player finds themselves in. His actions were done in an attempt to save his people, but the consequences were also severe. The player must face this grand figure and either help him find peace, or condemn him.
This theme accompanies the hub of the game. All the survivors from the burnt forest have taken refuge in a ruined town. Together, they work to survive and uncover the secrets of their collective amnesia. This theme highlights the tragedy and hope within the survivors.
This theme is for the main antagonist of the game. An ancient god-like being who has a vengeful hatred for humanity. Her war against humanity led the King of Glendora to take drastic action to save his people, but she managed to survive. With her strength returning, the player must also grow their strength to defeat her.
This theme is for the secondary antagonist. The brother of the King was corrupted by an evil god while trying to save his companions, and forced to do her will. The world remembers him now as her servant, ignorant of the truth. The song highlights this tragedy as the player engages him.
This is the closing/credits theme. The idea here was to evoke a sense of tragedy and melancholy, which exist throughout the game’s story and characters. The player is meant to feel the weight of sorrow that the world carries.
Take a Listen.

Leadership Experience
People should follow me because I am decisive and compassionate. I value the input of others and make sure everyone has the chance to voice their thoughts. When I make decisions, the choices are based on what I think is best for the group as a whole. I hold no one in the group above the rest.
My personal leadership statement:
Webster Leadership Program reflection
During my time at Webster University, I was a part of the Webster Leadership Program. This program was designed to help students who exhibited qualities inherent in leaders and build upon those skills while fleshing out their leadership style. During my time is this program, I grew my leadership skills and learned how to use them effectively in a teamwork setting. This program also helped me recognize my strengths and weaknesses as a leader.
As stated in my leadership statement, I believe I am compassionate and make an active effort to show each member in the teams I lead that they are important and their opinion is valued. I am able to use the collective thoughts an ideas from the team to formulate decisions I think are best for the whole group. While I believe I am not as great at dealing with confrontation, I am always striving to improve the qualities of leadership in which I struggle.
The link above is to a paper written during a weekend course within the leadership program. The course was based around a visual anthropology project, where we examined a branch of Webster to determine its ethical climate. We would then reflect on how we can use this analysis to improve our own leadership style.
Practical Leadership Experiences
Fitness Center student Supervisor:
While I’ve been a member of Webster’s Fitness Center staff since October 2020, I became the student supervisor in April of 2022. During this time, I’ve been responsible for training current staff and new hires, creating meeting agendas and facilitating those meetings, and creating staff schedules. This experience has taught me a lot about team management and how to help others grow their skills. I’ve been in leadership positions before, but leading a team in a work setting has allowed me to take those school-based leadership experiences and apply them to a “real-world” setting.
Webster eSports club co-president:
A friend and I helped found this club in fall 2022. During this time, I’ve helped develop club policies, game options and meeting times, and facilitated those sessions. We meet on a weekly basis, with my co-president overseeing one game/session and I on the other. Together, along with our treasurer, we’ve cultivated a friendly and competitive environment where a group of like-minded people can enjoy games together. We take account of everyone’s interests to determine which games will be played and when. We also rotate games on a semi-monthly basis to allow for a variety of interests to be satisfied.
